  • Say: My statistics class is conducting a statistical survey of students and fast food. Would you take a minute to answer a few questions?

If they answer YES and then NO, continue, otherwise go to step 1.

  1. Hand them the attached survey and ask them to place it in your envelope when they are done. You should have a pencil or pen for them to use.

For the French Fry investigation. We need to divide into groups of 2 people. Each group will

  1. Get an assigned time to visit McDonalds. Do NOT use the drive through.
  2. One person will purchase a Small order of French Fries to go. The other person will purchase a Large order of French Fries to go. These should be separate orders so that each order is in a separate bag.
  3. Bring the French Fries back to Professor Wetzel’s office and measure.

For the SMALL order of fries

  1. Measure the mass of the entire bag. ______
