**If your child is in kindergarten, he/she does NOT have an assigned teacher at this point. He/she will attend on the staggered entry days and will officially be placed into a class on Friday, September 1, 2017.

The First Day of School:

Monday, August 28, 2017

Arrival/Breakfast: 8:45am-9:15am

School Day: 9:15am-4:15pm

Special Notes: Students may not enter the building before 8:45am daily. Parents may escort students to classrooms before the 9:15 bell only.

Kindergarten Staggered Entry Plan 8/28-9/1:

All kindergarten students will follow a staggered entry schedule. The kindergarten students will report on ONE specified day Monday-Thursday, and then ALL report on Friday.

Tuesday, August 29, 2017 Students whose last names begin with letters H-O

Wednesday, August 30, 2017 Students whose last names begin with letters P-Z

Pre-K Home Visits & Staggered Entry Plan:

If your child is in Pre-K, then you received a letter in the mail regarding important details. This letter noted information in regard to home visits and staggered entry. Please see important dates below:

Home Visits: Monday 8/28-Wednesday 8/30 (Each family will have one home visit and you will receive information regarding your child’s staggered entry day at this time)

Staggered Entry: Thursday 8/31-Friday 9/1, Tuesday 9/5

All Pre-K students report to HGES: Wednesday 9/6

Pre-K-5 School Uniforms:

Uniforms are mandatory and parents will be contacted for a change of clothes if needed.

Tops: white, navy, or light blue collared shirt. Sweaters/Sweater Vests must be white, navy or light blue

Bottoms: navy or khaki bottoms (shorts, dresses, pants, jumpers, or capris). Tights must be white, navy or black. Belts are highly encouraged (black or brown).

Shoes: closed toed shoes
