SUBJECT:Request for Application (RFA) California Community College Mental Health Services Grant Program
The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office is pleased to announce the creation of the California Community College Mental Health Services Grant Program.The 2017-18 Budget appropriated one-time funding in the amount of $4.5 million, to support colleges interested in implementing new or expanding existing California Community College Mental Health Services programs.
These are one-time grant funds to be distributed as follows:
- The purpose of these grants is to enable districts/colleges receiving an award to implement or expand a California Community College Mental Health Services program. Additional information regarding specific objectives of the program are included in the Request for Application.
- It is the intent of the Legislature that community college districts or individual community colleges develop formal partnerships with their local county behavioral health departments and/or community-based organizations to establish longer-term referral networks for students in need of ongoing mental health services.
- The maximum award amount of each grant is $350,000.
- The California Community College Mental Health Services Grant awards require a $1.00 for $1.00 match. Additional information regarding qualifying matching funds is included in the Request for Application.
- Application Deadline: Thursday February 1, 2018, at 5:00 PM (PST)
