Extra Credit Opportunity:

Go to Wordle.net and create a “Wordle” for the 12 words in this assignment. A Wordle is a “toy for generating word clouds”. Apply the following directions to your project:

  • Type in the 12 words in the list above in the box labeled “Paste in a bunch of text”. You may include other terms from this Unit 6 study guide, if you wish. Check your spelling carefully. You cannot correct a word without starting over.
  • If the term has two words (a phrase) use the tilde symbol ~ between the words instead of spaces.
  • Include your first and last name in the list of words.
  • If you would like a word to be larger than others, type the word in more than once. The more times you repeat a word the larger it will appear on the Wordle (it will only appear one time, though).
  • Hit Go.
  • Use “randomize” to see different layouts.
  • Use the edit features of Font, Layout and Color to make your “Wordle” unique (avoid solid backgrounds, please).
  • When you are happy with the outcome, send it to the color printer.
  • Retrieve it and write your name and period on the back of the document.
  • Attach your Wordle to the back of this completed assignment. You will be awarded 15 extra credit points on this assignment.
  • Note: You cannot “save” the Wordle. You can only take a screen shot (alt + Print Screen) of the image and paste it in another application such as Word. Include a footer with your name and period for identification.
