POSITION SUMMARY: Benton County Health Department focuses on identifying barriers in accessing health care and reaching out to vulnerable populations. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated registered nurse to work in our Babies First! and Maternity Case Management home visiting programs. This Public Health Nurse (PHN) will work in clinical, community, and home settings to provide community health nursing services aimed at our high risk infant and maternity populations. PHNs apply critical thinking and nursing process skills to screen, assess, plan, deliver and evaluate health interventions for individuals and populations.

Temporary employees are hired for the purpose of meeting short-term, emergency workload needs and is not expected to exceed the equivalent of six calendar months or 1040 hours in a fiscal year (7/1 – 6/30). Temporary employees are not members of the collective bargaining units and are not eligible to accrue holiday, vacation, sick or personal leave.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors of Science in Nursing and at least four years of Nursing experience oran equivalent combination of education and experience. Must list a valid Oregon Registered Nurse License on the job application. This position requires an Oregon Driver’s License to travel to multiple locations.

UNDERFILL: Under filling this position will be considered. Underfilling may require less years of experience. Wage range for under filling will be dependent on qualifications.
