Lenoir-Rhyne University is excited for Family Weekend September 23rd-25th, 2016! Families will have the opportunity to see the hustle and bustle of the LR Campus through various sessions, activities, and athletics. Check below to see what we have planned!

Visit the LRU Bookstore
Lenoir-Rhyne’s Bookstore is located in the lower level of the Cromer Center. It will be open during Family Weekend at the following time
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Purchase Your LRU Class Ring
Be sure to order your class ring while you are at the Lenoir-Rhyne Bookstore. A Josten's representative will be at the bookstore at the following times:
Friday: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Viewmont“Street Strut”

Wondering what to do around town? Saturday, September 24th, the Viewmont Community is holding a Street Strut of area businesses, retail shops, restaurants that will have discounts, games, music, and much more. Designated shuttles will be available to individuals throughout the day. Receive a list of businesses participating in the Street Strutat the Cromer Center Check- in table.

9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. | Grace Chapel Tours

Grace Chapel is a distinctive feature and Lenoir-Rhyne’s signature building. Tours are open throughout the day to visit this grand structure with arches that soar more than 53 feet above a tiled floor.

3:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. | Commons Library 2nd Floor | Study Abroad 101 for Families
Families of students that are interested in the Study Abroad program at LR are invited to join us in the Lohr Learning Commons on the second floor of Rudisill Library. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and learn about resources available to them and their students.
4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. | Cornerstone Support and Wellness Center | Parent Drop-In

Families can visit the Cornerstone to learn more about our support and wellness programs through counseling, disability, and health services for LR students.

4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. | Multicultural | Parent Drop-In

Lineberger Board Room

The Office of Multicultural creates a diverse community that welcomes people of difference race, ages, gender, cultures, socioeconomic background, political perspectives, value, experience, opinion, sexual orientation, and religion. All families are welcome to stop come by to talk with Emma Sellers about Lenoir-Rhyne’s opportunities for diversity on campus.

Head down the street from LRU’s campus to the The Sail’s. There you’ll find a variety of produce, meats, mountain trout, eggs, baked good, fresh and dried herbs, preserves, artisan crafts, street foods, and more!
