Job Title: Funder Relations Manager, Venturesome
Grade or Grade Range: Grade D
Department: CAF Venturesome, Social Investment
Main purpose of job:
A key member of the CAF Venturesome team, the job holder will be responsible for developing relationships with existing funders and attracting new sources of capital that CAF Venturesome will use in making social investments to charities and social enterprises. The job holder will work closely with CAF’s marketing and PR teams on all of CAF Venturesome’s communications – helping us to communicate more effectively with charities and social enterprises about the social investments we offer, and to communicate clearly with external stakeholders, current and potential funders.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Funder relations
- To support Head of Venturesome/senior investment managers in managing existing relationships with individuals, charitable trusts, foundations and corporations that have committed capital to CAF Venturesome’s funds; this will include being the primary point of contact for most funders and potential funders;
- To support Head of Venturesome/senior investment managers in developing relations with new funders, in particular to increase (philanthropic) funds under management;
- To regularly report to CAF Venturesome’s funders on the performance of their social investment;
- To support Head of Venturesome/senior investment managers in the strategic development and growth of CAF Venturesome.
Communications
- To support Head of Venturesome, and CAF’s marketing and PR teams, to develop CAF Venturesome’s communications strategy
- To lead communications with external stakeholders, including funders, potential funders and potential partners – including responsibility for funder reports
- To be responsible for communications with charities and social enterprises – working with CAF’s marketing and PR teams to run campaigns, send regular newsletters, maintain the website, and boost our profile.
