Hola Parents,

Madeira Elementary PTO is pleased to host the Before-school Spanish Language Program again for Kindergartners at MES for the 2015-2016 school year. This program will be progressive in nature and will allow participants to engage in a year-long in-depth approach to learning Spanish.

Program

Classes are taught by caring and enthusiastic teachers from the Cincinnati Spanish Academy (CSA). CSA’s mission is to provide an enriching lesson complete with songs, listening exercises and interactive activities. This creative and developmental approach encourages involvement from all participants.

The objective of the program is to immerse kids in the language as much as possible so that kids acquire the language similar to how they learned their first language. The focus is on understanding the spoken language, first attempts at using the language, and reinforcement through exercises in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Visit for more information about their program and staff.

Admission & Schedule:

For fluency and language progress, it is important that a student attend classes twice a week. Parents are responsible for providing morning transportation to class and must abide by the school’s security procedures when dropping of their children.

Schedule: Mondays and Thursdays from 8:05 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for 23 weeks. Drop-off begins at 7:55am. Classes begin October 5th, 2015 and will finish in April 2015.

There will be a maximum of 14 students per class and a minimum of seven. The program observes school breaks and holidays. (Snow days/cancellations will be made up at the end of the sessions.)

Tuition:

Total cost for 4640-minute lessons is $360. This fee will cover the cost of instruction and materials. A payment plan is available to make the costs more manageable and to allow more families the opportunity to participate. If you have another child already in the MES Spanish program in grades 1-4, the cost for a younger sibling in Kindergarten is $325.

Registration:

To register, please visit to complete the online registration and payment (online payment is available by check or credit card). Payments can be made monthly for up to 4 months. Registrations must completed by September 21st. Space is limited and participants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to pay by mailing a physical check, payment must be made in full. Please contact CSA for more details.
