PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

This program will explore the tenets of the political system and the structure of government in the United States. Throughout a three week period it will examine the:

  • US legal system of separation of powers
  • Governmental checks and balances
  • Citizen participation in the decision-making process
  • Role of women and minorities in business, government, community, and social affairs
  • Impact of religion on life in the U.S.
  • American Muslim leadership
