DearSchool Football Representative,
I am writing on behalf of West Fife Primary Schools Football to inform you of and invite you to the planned football festivals for session2016-2017. These festivals will be run on a “round robin” format so that every team plays as many games as possible.Every festival will be governed in accordance with SFA Player Pathway Guidelines.
All Festivals will take place at Pitreavie Playing Fields, Dunfermline, unless otherwise indicated.For each event we are asking that you assist with the setting up of the pitches at the start of the festival and with the return of equipment at the end of the festival.
Participating schools will be asked to confirm their attendance at each festival. Any school which does not attend following their confirmation will be withdrawn from all football festivals for a 12 month period.
Festival dates are:
- Gary Riddell Festival:Friday 30th September 2016, 9. 30 am – 2.30 pm.£10.00 entry fee per team.
- Throughout the festival, football skills will be recognised and rewarded for individuals and teams.
- November Festival: Thursday 3rd November 2016, 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm. BeathHigh School astro pitches, Cowdenbeath.
- January Indoor Festival: Thursday 26th January 2017, 4.00pm – 5.30 pm. St Columba’s High School, Dunfermline.
- February Indoor Festival 1: Thursday 9th February 2017, 4.00pm – 5.30 pm. St Columba’s High School, Dunfermline.
- February Indoor Festival 2: Thursday 23rd February 2017, 4.00pm – 5.30 pm. St Columba’s High School, Dunfermline.
- March Festival: Thursday16th March 2017, 4.00pm – 6.00 pm. Woodmill High School astro pitches, Dunfermline.
- St. Margaret’s Festival: Friday 28thApril 2017, 9.30 am – 2.30 pm: £10.00 entry fee per team.
- Throughout the festival, football skills will be recognised and rewarded for individuals and teams.
- May Festival: Thursday 15th May 2017, 4.00pm – 6.00 pm. Dalgety Bay Sports Centre astro pitches, Dalgety Bay.
- Champions League Festival for P4 and P5 pupils. Friday 16th June 2017, 9.30 am – 1.00pm: £10.00 entry fee per team.
- This event will comprise of a mixture of SFA led coaching sessions and team matches throughout the morning.
