SMEs Development Seminar among Developing Countries

In order to strengthen the cooperation and communication among developing countries in the field of SMEs( Small and Medium sized Enterprises) development, China center for Business Cooperation and Coordination (CCBCC), assigned by the Ministry of Commerce, is going to organizeSMEs development Seminar among Developing Countries.

The main aims for this Seminar are to help the foreign officials get better knowledge of great achievements that China has gainedin social and economic development since the reform and opening-up policy and assist them to learn about the characteristics and developing strategies of Chinese market economy system.The officials will share the experiences of Chinese government supporting and encouraging SMEs development, and discuss the questions with concern. At the meantime, throughfield trip activities, it will enhance the exchange and cooperation in depth with Chinese local SMEs and industrial clusters and then promotethe common development of each country.

Ⅶ. The climate and weather

The seminar will be hosted in Beijing, the capital city of China. Beijing is characterized by clear four seasons, and it’s hot and rainy in summer, cool in autumn, cold in winter, and dry in spring, with the average temperature of -5-10℃ in January, 24-26℃in July.The average temperature in November is about 12.7℃.
Ningbois endowed with the north sub-tropical climate. It’s warm and wet, with clear four seasons. The average temperature of the year is about 16.5℃. The average temperature is about 15℃in November.

Chongqingis endowed with sub-tropical monsoon wet climate, with cloudy weather, warm winter and hot summer. The average temperature of the year is about18℃. The average temperature is about 18.1℃in November.

Ⅷ. Profile of ChinaCenter for Business Cooperation and Coordination

China Centre for Business Cooperation and Coordination (CCBCC) is a specialized service agency for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It uses the name NDRC SME International Cooperation and Coordination Centre in the mainland of China.

CCBCC was established in 1986 at the order of the State Council for the responsibilities of coordination and guidance of SME international cooperation, investigation and study of SME development, relevant policy and experience at home and abroad, as well as open up channels for SME cooperation. CCBCC was under the leadership of former State Economic Commission, State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC), and is now affiliated to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

Business Scope:

  1. Investigation and study SME development situation at home and abroad and form policy suggestions;
  2. Organizing bilateral and multilateral SME cooperative programs;
  3. Organizing for international/regional organizations activities relevant with China SMEs;
  4. Facilitating international business exchange, providing SMEs with services on human resource development, consultancy, information and etc;
  5. Editing and publishing China SME periodical and China SME Development Yearbook;
  6. Administrative work of Secretariat of China International Cooperation Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CICASME);
  7. Administrative work of Secretariat of APEC SME Service Alliance (APEC SMESA);
  8. Other tasks assigned by the central government.
