The Event:This event is open to the public and is designed to create opportunities to learn about firearms in a safe environment. The purpose is also to encourage, educate and mentor women in responsible participation of recreational shooting. It will be a safe, fun, and non-competitive introduction to shooting sports and basic firearm marksmanship in multiple shooting disciplines. Our goal is to develop in women a passion for shooting sports which in turn, will bring family and friends into the sport, generating a positive introduction to the many shooting opportunities at the Pitt County Wildlife Club.

Special Note
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE PITT COUNTY WILDLIFE CLUB RUNS A COLD RANGE AT ALL TIMES. THIS MEANS NO FIREARMS MAY BE HANDLED, TOUCHED OR LOADED UNTIL DIRECTED TO DO SO BY THE RANGE SAFETY OFFICER.
Loaner guns, ammunition, as well as eye and ear protection, will be provided for you, however if you have your own eyes and ears please feel free to bring them.
If you do own a handgun and need help with it, please bring it, and your ammunition. Leave it unloaded, in the trunk of your car. Please have your firearm in a proper carrying case or tote bag. A range safety officer will assist you. There will be a session, after lunch, for you to get special instructions.
As with all shooting events, only a limited number of participants are able to shoot at a time, so there will be a predictable amount of down time. Or, possibly, chances to chat with more experienced shooters, and ask questions.
Ladies Day has been offered to the community since 1999 and has hosted over 2500 ladies to this wonderful experience and sport. Feedback has shown that previous attendees have a wonderful experience and introduction to this sport.
