Lew’s® Tournament Pro Series welcomes newest member

Lew’s® Tournament Pro Speed Spool® reels have been the go-to reels for serious anglers since their introduction. Now, the series has been completed with the introduction of the TP1S model designed for power and strength.

Deep crankers will come to love all of the features packed into the TP1S Tournament Pro Speed Spool reel.

Bringing new meaning to the term featherweight, the TP1S weighs in at a scant 6.7 oz. The TP1S completes the Tournament Pro line by utilizing a 5.4:1 gear ratio with 23” of line recovery per turn. The TP1S has a line capacity of 150 yards of 12 lb. test line.

What makes the TP1S different from the other Tournament Pro Speed Spool reels is the deeper large capacity spool that is machine forged out of aircraft grade Duralumin. The deep spool allows these reels to hold more line for making extra long casts. The TP1S also features a longer 95 mm stylish carbon fiber reel handle for increased power while reducing weight.

With the crankbait angler in mind,the TP1S also features a longer 95 mm stylish carbon fiber reel handle for increased power while further reducing overall reel weight. In order to make the reel even more powerful and durable, the TP1S uses high-strength aircraft grade Duralumin gearing.

The TP1S features an 11 premium shielded stainless steel ball bearing systems. A rugged carbon composite 14 lb. maximum drag system and zero reverse one-way clutch bearing are standard on the TP1S reel. The smooth drag system features an audible click star adjustment. The spool tension adjustment also has an audible click.

The TP1S features a dual cast control system that utilizes both an external click-dial magnetic brake system and four individually, disengageable, disk-mounted internal brake shoes that operate by centrifugal force. This dual cast control system makes casting smooth and effortless.

Reel care is quick and easy, thanks to a removable graphite side plate and external lube port. Each TP1S reel incorporates a titanium coated zirconia line guide for super smooth casting.
