If accepted, I will attend every day of camp and will participate in all activities. I realize this is a learning camp. I know the kennels will smell bad and many of the animals may be dirty. I love animals and want to help and learn about them so much that I will not complain about such things.

Goals & Objectives
- To provide participants a fun and educational training experience in the area of animal welfare.
- To assist participants in becoming well informed pet owners and animal advocates.
- To provide shelter animals with personal attention and love.
Rules
- Arrive on time each day, wearing appropriate attire and nametag. Come directly to the classroom and sit quietly at the table until activities begin. Review Camp Activities Schedule for daily instructions.
- Campers should wear a comfortable t-shirt and shorts or pants daily with close-toed, rubber-soled shoes.
- REMEMBER, REMEMBER, REMEMBER…the LA/SPCA is a place of business. No loud talking, screaming or running will be tolerated in the Shelter. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO EXCUSES!!
- Campers must wash their hands immediately after working with any animal. This rule is important for the health and safety of both people and animals.
- Respect for each other, the LA/SPCA staff, the public visiting the Shelter, speakers and guests is mandatory.
- Campers will not take animals out of the kennels without supervision from an intern or camp instructor. Campers are not allowed in the adoptable cat or dog rooms without supervision from an intern or camp instructor.
- The Camp Interns are here to help all of us. Feel free to ask for their assistance. Also, please respect their authority.
- “Off Limits” areas in the Shelter and Clinic will not be entered unless permission has been granted and the Camper is accompanied by an LA/SPCA staff member.
- Campers will not approach and/or interact with animals they have not been introduced to or given permission to approach. Examples of this are animals going to or from the Clinic or being brought into the LA/SPCA.
- Campers are expected to clean-up after themselves.
- This is an educational Camp. Campers are expected to act accordingly. You are here to learn.
I understand the above rules and agree to live up to them. I promise to do my best, at all times, to be a responsible representative of the LA/SPCA.
