Position Purpose

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for efficiently and effectively planning, preparing and delivering Human Resource Management services to WISE Employment and providing HR consulting andoperational HR service excellence in line with the overall business strategies, objectives and cultural behaviours.

The incumbent will be expected to assist in the delivery of a variety of HR Programs and activities such as attraction, recruitment, retention, talent management and succession planning, as well as people performance and provide day to day human resources operational support and advice to the business.

The role will be performed in a way that adheres to WISE organisational standards, relevant legislation and all funding body requirements.

This is a salaried position and staffs are expected to work such hours as are necessary for the effective performance of the job responsibilities.

Flexibility in hours worked is required and reasonable out of hours work may be required from time to time. Travel is required to work across locations, including interstate, where reasonable and necessary.

Continuing employment is subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check where applicable.

Specific Tasks (additional detail)

Human Resource Management Services
  • HR Business Partnerplans, prepares, delivers and evaluates human resource management services as specified including:
  • Quality and accurate Job Profiles are developed and maintained within given timeframes
  • Number of vacancies filled efficiently, effectively and within given timeframes
  • Employment contract and administration services delivered accurately, efficiently, effectively and within given timeframes
  • Relevant sessions during the Induction Program delivered and the induction of new staff enhanced
  • Effective partnering with WHS Manager in claims management and return to work has been demonstrated
  • Assist with the management of WISE Performance Development Program efficiently, effectively and within given timeframes
  • Capability and Career Development program activities planned and coordinated efficiently, effectively and within given timeframes
  • HR training sessions planned, prepared, conducted and evaluated efficiently, effectively and within given timeframes
  • Monitor to ensure that new employee's on boarding experience is smooth
  • Exit procedures are in accordance with WISE policies and values
  • Contribute to the implementation of appropriate WHS policies, processes and initiatives across WISE and the management of Workcover claims and return to work plans
  • Monitor and manage preferred and non-preferred suppliers and supplier performance in a timely and effective manner

Policy Management & Interpretation

  • Research, introduce, maintain andupdate HR policies (as appropriate)
  • Provide interpretation of HR policies, process, advice andassist with business solutions

Contract Management

  • Contribute to the review of contract contentsandensure legal obligations are met when employment circumstances change

Recruitment

  • Assist in the organisation and facilitation of Talent Assessment Centres
  • Assist in the creation of talent pools and candidate management and engagement
  • Interview candidates (internally & externally)
  • Ensure updated and accurate Job Profiles
  • Arrange for referee reports, background checks and employment contracts to be completed

Risk and Compliance

  • Create a positive risk and compliance culture
