The following information is a description of the production requirements for the UK and international Tour of ‘Artificial Things’ by Stopgap Dance Company.
Please read this document carefully and distribute to relevant staff.

CREW CALL
We require the venue to supply us with the following crew at 9.00 am on the first day of the engagement
Fit-up & Get-in (9am-5pm inc. 1 hr lunch) 2 Multi-skilled technicians
Pre-set and show 1 Duty Technician
Get-Out (2 hours if striking lights also) 2 Technicians
Please note that we require a completed pre-rig prior to the arrival of our technical team
STAGE & SET
The set consists of the following:
Set
- 4 x Rolls of dance floor (8000mm by 2000mm), covering a floor space of 8m by 8m.
- 6x 3m wooden strips to go round the dance floor
- 2 x Corner wooden strips
- Back cloth 8.35m wide by 7.5m high (inherently flameproof)
- 4 x fabric drops (inherently flameproof)
- Stools x 4
- Museum display case
Please note that the Minimum width and depth we need for stage area is 10000mm.
Flying

Masking
- Black Box configuration
- 4 Sets of Legs SL & SR (preferably soft but hard is fine). Please refer to hanging plot for position.
- 4 x Borders to mask the top of each leg
Requirements from the venue
- A clear path from the dressing rooms to the stage that is step free and accessible for wheelchair performers (a clear door width of 25 inches).
- A cross over either behind the stage or created using a full black cloth (at least 25 inches)
- The space to be warm (at least 20 Degrees Celsius)
- Sprung floor
- We cannot perform on a raked stage
TRANSPORT & PARKING
This production will require loading access and parking for the duration of our stay:
1 x Luton (For UK and Western Europe Only)
2 x Disabled Parking Spots as close to the dressing rooms as possible (For UK Only)
If there is no parking available, please advice where parking is available for a high roof topped vehicle
LICENSING/ SPECIAL EFFECTS

LIGHTING
We will use in house lighting equipment as available, using the house generic rig and a few specials. See below for Lighting Plan.
We tour with:
· Working lights for props tables in the wings
· Re-lighter – Francois Langton (Technical Manager), 07960 049121
· Own colour and gobos
SOUND
All music and sound effects are done through Qlab
We will require from the theatre:
- Stereo left and right from your mixing desk to your Main Front Of House PA.
- 2 monitors on stage. 1 SL (Aux 1), 1 SR (Aux 2)
We tour:
- 1 x Mac Book with QLab
- 1 x Sound Card
- 8 way loom Jack to Jack lead from Sound card to desk
STAGE MANAGEMENT
We tour with a: Company Manager
Technical Manager / Re-lighter
5 Dancers
1 Access officer
For international performances we also have 2 additional staff to support our disabled dancers
We require a minimum of 1 dressing room (ideally 2) to accommodate: 2 female dancers / 3 male dancers.
We will require access to a washing machine, dryer and ironing board before and after the show, please let us know if there are time restrictions into the building.
FRONT OF HOUSE
Performance running time is approximately Act One 45 mins, Act Two 25 mins. There needs to be a 20-minute interval between the Acts, during which we need the audience to leave the auditorium.
