Information

This is an example of the document format for submitting abstracts. Above this text, between the two horizontal lines you should put your title in bold capitals. This should be followed by the comma separated list of authors in normal body text and their affiliations in italics. Separate different affiliations using semicolons. Use superscript numbers in round braces when several authors have different affiliations. Then put the contact author’s email address in italics and right-justified. We will send any queries we might have about your submission to this email address.

Put the text of your abstract below the second horizontal line as normal body text, for emphasis use italics. Default font = Arial, Font Size = 12.

Please ensure your text does not exceed 1,200 words – otherwise you may find your abstract gets summarily truncated to this length in the final booklet!

NB: You will notice in the Styles box that each section of the abstract text has it’s own style. If you highlight your text and select the appropriate style, the formatting will be applied (excluding the superscript numbers for affiliations and reference details). Please do not add styles or change the existing ones in the document.

Sub-headings

If you wish to use sub-headings please format them as above: normal body text in bold.

Images

You can include up tothree(3) images with your abstract. You can insert them into the word document at the place in your text where you would like them to appear but please also provide the images as separate filesas we may need to alter the page layout in the final abstract booklet and it’s easiest if we can re-insert them using the original image file. NB: while the abstracts PDF will be in colour, the printed version will be greyscale so please ensure your images will still be comprehensible if rendered as greyscale.

If you cite references please include a bibliography at the end formatted as below:

If you use Endnote, a template file can be downloaded from the conference website (inclusive of wider range of references sources).
