2007Vogelweh Race Weekend

1-2 September, Schopp and ROB, Germany

General Information and Rules

  • Races are conducted in accordance with BDR rules
  • Helmets are mandatory for all riders in all races
  • Bikes may be equipped with aero-bars (time trial bars) for the time trial only
  • Award ceremonies will be held at the finish line following the road race on Sunday
  • Race numbers must be turned in following each race
  • Race results will be posted at the race site and fitness center following each race
  • Points will be awarded for each race in each category in accordance with the "Point Scheme for U.S. Forces Europe Series Championships."
  • This point system will be used to determine the general classification for this event. Points from the time trial, points race and road race will be added to determine the general classification results.
  • U.S. Forces Europe Series points will also be awarded based on this point system. Series points will be based upon the general classification.
  • In the case of equal point totals, the road race will serve as the tiebreaker
  • Road guards are posted throughout the courses but riders must take some responsibility for personal safety. Ride to the right of the center line.

Time Trial, 1 September, 1000 Start

4km for men; 3km for women

  • Check-in and number pickup is mandatory for all riders
  • Riders will start in numeric order by category! The official clock is at the start line
  • Riders may not receive any food or drinks during the race
  • ONE NUMBER MUST BE PLACED ON THE RIGHT SIDE. CHECK AT REGISTRATION FOR PROPER PLACEMENT. NUMBER SHOULD BE VERTICAL, BOTTOM EDGE EVEN WITH JERSEY BOTTOM, SIDE EVEN WITH EDGE OF POCKETS (SIDE PANEL OF JERSEY IS TOO FAR). THE NUMBER MAY NOT BE FOLDED.

Time Trial, 1 September, 1300 Start

Distances and category combinations will be determined on-site

Road Race, 2 September, 1200 Start

Distances and category combinations will be announced at the Saturday event

  • Check-in and number pickup is mandatory for all riders
  • NUMBERS MUST BE PLACED ON BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES. SEE DESCRIPTION ABOVE FOR PROPER PLACEMENT. THE NUMBERS MAY NOT BE FOLDED.
  • Racers may receive food and drinks except during the final lap
  • Officials may require lapped riders to withdraw from the race. These riders will be placed in the final results.
  • Racers leaving or quitting the race must report immediately to the officials. Violators will not be shown in the results.
  • There will be no neutral service vehicles. Spare wheels may be kept at the start area.
