EXTRA NEWS
  • If you are able, please help your child purchase a toy for the Toys for Tots program. It is nice to have them go with you to help pick it out. If they are able, they can use some of their own money to put towardthe gift or do chores to earn money for the toy as well.
  • If you would like to help your child study for their Social Studies Test on Tuesday, here is what they should know: Native Americans worked together in groups called tribes. Native Americans were the first people in America. The pilgrims sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. The pilgrims came from England. Squanto was a special friend to the pilgrims. It took the pilgrims 66 days to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Pilgrims did not live in mansions, they may have lived in tepees, wigwams, or long houses. The Pilgrims boat was called the Mayflower.
  • We have been preparing ourselves for Advent this week. We have discussed ways we can SHINE and prepare our hearts for Jesus during Advent. Ideas we talked about were: bringing in a toy for Toys for Tots, bringing in cranberry sauce, decorating bags for Kids Food Basket or designing cards to be delivered with Meals on Wheels. We have also set up a place in our classroom with bags to decorate and paper to make cards. These are great service ideas for the second quarter too. Ask neighbors for canned goods. Have a bag or card decorating party with family or friends.
