Scholarship Rules and Regulations

  • Applicant must be of Hellenic descent.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a second or third year student at an accredited law school
  • Applicant must either be an Illinois resident or must be attending law school in Illinois.
  • All applicants must submit a current law school transcript with the completed application.
  • If you have a current resume, please include it with your completed application.
  • Please include a photo with your completed application.
  • If selected as a scholarship recipient, the applicant is expected to attend the Hellenic Bar Association’s annual scholarship ball as our guest on Sunday, October 7, 2018.
  • All applications must be e-mailed to Maria Z. Vathis at by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018.The organization reserves the right to reject late applications.

Interviews

  • All scholarship applications attending law school in Chicago must be available for an in-person interview in the Chicago Loop on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 after 4:30 p.m.
  • We will notify you of the time and location of your interview by e-mail on Friday, September 21, 2018. Please provide us with your e-mail address below.
