Role Description: / A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Test Analyst to join the NBAInformation and Technology Services Group and to hit the ground running to first familiarise and develop a deep understanding ofNBA systems whilst contributing toward project testing outcomes, preparing test cases, execution of various test techniques to ensure NBA systems are developed to optimal quality targets and are fit-for-purpose for users..
Deliverables / The candidate will be required to:
- perform as a Test Analyst on projects and production system changes and enhancements, developing test plans and test cases, executing manual and automated tests as required and directed by Test Leads and Project Managers. This includes functional, non-functional, system, Integration, end-to-end and regression testing.
- Working closely with business representatives, product owners and SMEs to help plan testing and develop test strategy, identify test requirements and test scenarios.
- Working independently, at the direction of the Test Lead, following testing processes and adhering to testing standards.
- Preparing test estimations for upcoming work.
- Working to ensure testing activities are delivered on time and within scope.
- Identifying process improvements and working with Product owners, Business Analysts and others to assess and implement these.
Required skills and experience / Selection Criteria / To be successful, the candidate should meet the following key areas and criteria:
•Demonstrated experience with a variety of testing types and approaches, including Manual and Automated testing, Data Migration testing, back-end validation, co-ordinating User Acceptance Testing and performing data quality analysis.
•Demonstrated experience in writing code/scripts and querying data sets for the development of test cases, test criteria and in executing tests and validating results.
•Ability to develop test cases from business / functional specifications
•Contribute to and develop test strategy and planning for project test phases
•Experience with developing reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues
•Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
•Self-motivated, able to use initiative, innovative and a strong commitment to achieve business objectives

Key Performance Indicators

Fee Structure / Resources are to be quoted on the basis of Hourly rates including GST, and quoted in either half or full dollars.

- Panellists are reminded that the Fees set out in the Deed of Standing Offer are not to be exceeded;
- Quoted Fees can be less than the Fees listed in Schedule 6 of the relevant Deed; and
- Fees quoted should be commensurate with the resource being offered and the required skills and experience.
Period of Engagement / 30 June 2018 with possible extension

Security clearance / Must have or be able to achieve and hold a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance and therefore must be an Australian citizen.
IMPORTANT: Where the need for a security clearance has been identified (as above), the Commonwealth requires all Specified Personnel to undergo a security clearance. In this instance, Specified Personnel must have completed and submitted a security pack to the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency prior to commencement.
The Commonwealth requires all Specified Personnel to undergo Work, Health and Safety and Security Awareness training. Training must be undertaken upon commencement and be completed before the commencement of any work. Training is by means of an online courses and questionnaires that can be undertaken at Commonwealth premises.
