P.O.wanted in murder case : Chandni Chowk Police arrested one Sunil Kumar, 28 years, R/o Loni, Ghaziabad, UP yesterday. According to DCP/ North office, a local court had declared him P.O. in a kidnapping -cum-murder case registered against him at P.S. New Ashok Nagar in 2002.
Snatcher arrested : Kotwali Police arrested one Ashish Sharma, 26 years R/o Kinari Bazar, Chandni Chowk yesterday. According to DCP/North office he was caught red handed while trying to snatch gold chain of Smt. Meera Jain at main road, Chandni Chowk, He was overpowered with the help of passersby. Further investigation is in process.
Bangladeshi arrested : Sadar Bazar Police arrested one Wasim, 21 years R/o Sadar Bazar area. According to DCP/North office the complainant Deepak R/o Pahari Dheeraj saw him climbing the ladders of 1st floor of his house, He raised an alarm for help and subsequently caught him. A case of attempt to burglary has been registered at P.S. Sadar Bazar. Further investigation is in progress.
Two arrested for murder : Gokalpuri police arrested Nadeem Khan, 25 years R/o Indira Vihar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P. and Sushil, 26 years R/o Khajuri Khas for murdering their friend Wasim, 25 years R/o Gokalpuri area. According to DCP/North-East office the duo had killed Wasim 2 days ago following an altercation took place between them over money. Further investigation is in progress.
Three woman held under ITP Act : Khajuri Khas police asrrested Heena, 25, Noorjahan, 26 and Rukshana, 26 (Name Changed) all R/o Khajuri Khas area under ITP Act. According to DCP/North-East office both used to allure the customers for having sex and extort money by putting them under fear of rape allegations.

INTERSTATE GANG OF AUTO LIFTERS ARRESTED
THIRTEEN CARS RECOVERED : receiverS OF STOLEN VEHICLES also arrested
The South District police has busted a gang of Interstate auto lifters and arrested total 13 accused including five autolifters and eight receivers of stolen vehicles involved in autolifting from different parts of Delhi. Thirteen stolen cars including Qualis, Alto, Indica, Lancer, Wagon-R, Maruti-800 and Maruti Van have been recovered from their possession. One countrymade pistol alongwith two live cartridges and two button actuated knifes have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.

INCIDENT & TEAM
In view of the increasing incidents of auto lifting and car jacking, in and around Delhi, a Joint team comprising of Special Staff and AATS/ South District under the supervison of Sh. K.S. Bhatnagar, ACP/Operations/South District, headed by Inspr. Vihay Singh, assisted by SI Surender Dahiya, Balbir Singh, ASI Gyanender, HCs Sheo Ram, Vijay Kumar, Ram Kiishan, Phool Singh, Bhoop Singh, Raj Kumar, Vinod, Satish, Sanjeev, Parmood and Constables Subhash, Shalinder, Rattan, Anil, Brahmpal, Harender and Rehman was constituted to track the trend of autolifting and arrest the criminals involved in autolifting.The team deployed sources in the around Delhi to gather information about autolifters.
On dated 05.06.08, during patrolling SI Balbir Singh alongwith staff received a secret information that a gang of car jackers/auto lifters shall assemble in a park near T Point, M.B.Road, Shooting Range Road for planning to commit more crime. The information was conyed to senior officers and trap was laid by the staff members around the park. At about 4 PM, the gang members assembled near the park and after signal from the secret informer, the team members zeroed in on the gang members and overpowered the accused identified as Dilshad @ Bhoora, 2) Monu @ Kishan, 3) Pramod Kumar, 4)Manish @ Anil and 5)Javed. On search of the accused Monu, one loaded country made pistol and one live cartridge, and one button actuated knife each from the possession of Pramod and Manish were recovered. The Maruti Alto car bearing registration number DL-9CJ-2813 recovered from their possession was found to be stolen from PS Hari Nagar area Delhi. One Indica car number DL-3CAE- 5420 stolen from Vikas Puri area, Delhi was also recovered at the instance of accused Pramod.
During investigation, and the disclosures made by the accused, the other gang members Suresh Kumar and Farhan were intercepted near Singhania Hospital, Press Enclave Road Pushap Vihar by the team members of AATS/SD and stolen Lancer Car bearing registration number DL-3CQ-9819 stolen from PS Ashok Vihar area was recovered from their possession. During their police custody remand, the other accused and receivers were also arrested from different places in Delhi, UP and Haryana and a total number of 10 more vehicles were recovered at the instance of the accused and possession of the receivers.
MODUS OPERANDI
During investigation the accused disclosed that they had been stealing vehicles from different locations and parking places in Delhi and used to disposed the same at Meerut to Irfan Shajad @ Mamman and Farhan who used to sell it off to Shamsher Ali, Vakil, Suresh and other receivers of Haryana and UP. Accused Shamsher and Vakil used to tamper with the engine and chasis numbers in the workshop run by Shamsher Ali at Karnal, Haryana. Mamman and Farhan used to sell the vehicles by producing them as a financed vehicles.

i One country made pistol alongwith two live cartridges from Monu @ Kishan.
ii Two button actuated knifes from the possession of accused Pramod Kumar and Manish @ Anil

A team of officers of Special Cell led by Inspr. S.K. Giri, Manoj Dixit and Vivek Tyagi under the supervision of Sh Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, ACP has apprehended a notorious and desperate leader of a gang of interstate robbers Sudhir @ Kale r/o Shakur Pur Delhi. He is involved in many sensational robberies and snatchings in Delhi. He is also wanted in a sensational daylight robbery in Delhi Cantt., in which some armed robbers intercepted the cash van of a bank near Kirby Place, Delhi Cantt., shot the van guard and robbed Rs 34 lacs cash.
Information was received in Special Cell about the movements of Sudhir in Delhi. On 12.06.08 specific information was received through a source that Sudhir alongwith his associate would come to meet his associate in the evening near Petrol Pump,Gagan Cinema, Nand Nagari Delhi for planning to commit a sensational crime. A trap was laid and at about 7.30 PM the Sudhir and his associate were spotted. They were asked to surrender but the instead duo whipped out pistol and started firing on police team in bid to escape. Police party also fired in self defence and to apprehend the criminals. After a brief encounter the duo were overpowered when they were trying to reload the weapon. They were identified Sudhir @ Kale ( Aged- 28 years ) r/o Shakur Pur Delhi (2) Mohd. Shahid ( Aged- 38 years ) r/o Distt. Muzaffarnagar UP . Two country made pistol along with five live cartridge were recovered from above mentioned accused. A case under the appropriate sections of law was registered at PS Special Cell, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.
Accused Sudhir @ Kale was subjected to sustained interrogation. He disclosed that weapons and cartridge recovered , were supplied by one Arjun Singh r/o Ghaziabad. Arjun Singh had also arranged a rented accommodation for Sudhir in Sanjay Nagar Ghaziabad and he will be supplying one more weapon with cartridges which will be delivered to them at about 7 AM near Sarai Kale khan bus stand on Ring road. A trap was laid at near bus stand Sarai Kale Khan on Ring Road Arjun Singh was spotted and was apprehended at 7.15 AM. 5 live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
Some of the sensational cases of Sudhir are :
1) Case FIR No. 493/05 u/s 392/394 IPC P.S. Connaught Place New Delhi.
On 29.08.2005 he along with Sanjay @ George, Wazir, Aizaz and two other associates robbed a forex businessman of Rs.10 lacs cash and dollars worth 15 lacs in Tolstoy Lane. Businessman after closing his shop was about to sit in his snatched the bag containing cash. They used a maruti car and one stolen bike in this robbery. After committing robbery they escaped in the maruti car leaving the bike on the spot.
2) Case FIR No. 06/08 u/s 356/379 IPC P.S. Kamla Market Delhi
On 11.01.08 he along with Sanjay @ George, Wazir, Aizaz, and Aamir Mulla robbed a businessman of Rs. 64 lacs near Masjid Chawri Bazaar. In this case the information of cash transaction was passed by the same person Ratiram who was involved and arrested in the Delhi Cantt. Robbery.
3) Case FIR No. 137/08 u/s 394/34 IPC P.S. Delhi Cantt. New Delhi
On 16.04.2008 he alongwith Sanjay @ George, Wazir, Aizaz, Dilip, Hansraj @ Rohit and Kala intercepted a cash Van of Mahamedha Bank near Kirbi Place Delhi Cantt. They shot the guard and robbed Rs. 34 Lacs cash from the van. The car used in this robbery belonged to Sudhir. In this case also the information about the movement of cash van was passed on by the same person Ratiram who has since been arrested in this case.

141 CARTONS OF ILLICIT LIQUOR, LOADED IN
TATA-407 SEIZED:TWO BOOTLEGGERS ARRESTED
The South District Police has arrested two bootleggers namely (1) Badri Prasad, age 50 years s/o Babu Lal r/o Dera More, New Delhi and (2) Satpal, age 26 years, s/o Banwari Lal r/o Dera More, Harijan Basti, New Delhi and recovered 141 cartons of illicit liquor being transported in a Tata-407. The vehicle used in crime has also been seized.
INCIDENT
On 12.06.2008, at about 0010 Hrs., SI Vishwajeet alongwith Constables Sher Singh and Mahender Singh were patrolling in the area in the official vehicle, a secret informer under the eye and ear scheme informed that huge quantity of illicit liquor loaded on a Tata-407 shall come from Gadaipur side, if intercepted timely, the illicit liquor can be recovered. The information was conveyed to Sh. Mehar Singh, ACP/Hauz Khas who constituted a team under the supervision of Inspr. K.P. Kukretti headed by SI Vishwajeet Singh, HC Rajbir and Constables Sher Singh, Subhash, Jai Prakash and Mohinder and directed them to check the vehicles coming from Gadaipur side by installing barricades.
At about 1.30 AM, a Tata-407 vehicle bearing registration number HR-63-2975 was directed to stop for checking after signal from the secret informer. The driver of the vehicle tried to negotiate the barricade but was intercepted by the staff with the help of official vehicle. The two persons inside the vehicle tried to ran away but were overpowered. On checking the vehicle, huge consignment of illicit liquor comprising of 600 bottles of beer and 1092 bottles of illicit liquor for sale in Haryana, packed in cartons were discovered. The accused were identified as (1) Badri Prasad, age 50 years s/o Babu Lal r/o Dera More, New Delhi and (2) Satpal, age 26 years, s/o Banwari Lal r/o Dera More, Harijan Basti, New Delhi. A case vide FIR No. 295/08 u/s 61/78/1/14 Excised Act, P.S. Mehrauli was registered against the accused and investigation taken up.
