CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION UPDATE: / · Stand Tall Molly Lou Mellon Day - February 14th Topic is bullying and building positive self esteem.
· Cross grade level meetings during last half day – excellent opportunity to have discussions about students and plan collaboration across the grade.
· Hope to do this every other month. Teams submitted reports – actions included: review, alignment, and status check of non-negotiable goals, reading/math buddies, writing needs; staff morale-monthly boosters, Step-Up Day – May 28, High school student ambassador visit, possibility of technology based Pen Pals with students in Puerto Rico and Vienna, building student community mindedness,
· Training focus – test prep MC2
· Window just closed for Dibels
· Teachers are reviewing DRA data for planning
· Teacher evaluations completed for this cycle

CELEBRATIONS/ Other: / · We will be having Teacher Morale booster events each month. This month - Monkey Business! – hosted by first grade teachers
· Students recognized for Nov/Dec Pillar of Character: Responsibility with a pizza lunch with the administrator. Next month is Fairness.
· Facilities Update – camera installation for cafeteria and outdoor areas, fencing of school property, restriping of the parking lot for walkways. Still working on the playground equipment
· Student recognition for attendance and academics - certificates
