There is no turning back from the internet explosion of this advanced information age. Today even elementary school children have easy access to the most amazing libraries and educational materials.
As parents and educators it is our responsibility to teach our children how to use the internet responsibly and in ways that will best enhance their learning experience. To this end, for the 2015-2016 school year the English Department has adopted some online programs to be used in both the English I and II Courses.Through ‘Achieve3000’, for instance every student will have access to a customized reading program that will work for them with just a computer or tablet with a Web browser and Internet connection.In addition to this, students will have engaging and instructive grammar support through “Brain Pop ESL”. Students will be assigned accounts and passwords to access specific articles to be read and evaluated each month; however, every student is also encouraged to browse the websites on their own and take advantage of the many positively entertaining and educational activities offered.
For our English II Course, an educational website, tedankara7thgraders.pbworks.com, has been created in order to facilitate greater communication between teachers and parents, teachers and students; and to give students access to appropriate support material for the course. We would like to encourage you to “check out” the website, read the introductory letter to parents and keep up with your child’s assignments.

Günümüz bilgi çağında interneti kullanmaktan kaçınmakimkansızdır. Bugün ilköğretim düzeyindeki öğrenciler bile internette en iyi kütüphanelere ve eğitsel materyallere kolay bir şekilde ulaşabilmektedirler.
Aileler ve eğitimciler olarak çocuklarımıza interneti onların öğrenme deneyimlerini en iyi etkileyecek şekilde bilinçli olarak kullanmalarını öğretmek bizim sorumluluğumuzdur. Bu amaçla, biz İngilizce Departmanı olarak 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında İngilizce I ve II derslerinde kullanmak üzere bazı online programları sistemimize dahil ettik. Bu programlardan ilki “Achieve3000”sayesinde her öğrenci seviyesine uygun yüzlerce online makaleyi okuma fırsatına sahip olacaktır. Öğrenciler her ay kendilerine verilen şifre ile okumaları gereken makalelere yönlendirilecek ve her ay sonunda da konuyla ilgili olarak değerlendirileceklerdir. Buna ek olarak “Brain Pop ESL” (esl.brainpop.com) arayıcılığı ile ilgilerini çekebilecek sayısız gramer desteğine sahip olacaklardır. Ayrıca öğrenciler kendi ilgileri doğrultusunda eğitici ve eğlendirici aktivitelere de ulaşabileceklerdir.
Ayrıcaİngilizce II dersi için öğretmen ve veliler, öğretmen ve öğrenciler arasındaki iletişimi kolaylaştırmak ve bu ders için öğrencilere destek olabilecek uygun materyallere ulaşmalarını sağlamak amacıyla tedankara7thgraders.pbworks.com adresinden ulaşılabilen eğitimsel bir site hazırlandı. Sizlerden bu siteyi incelemenizi, sizlere sitede sunulan tanıtıcı mektubu okumanızı ve çocuğunuzun ödevlerini kontrol etmenizi rica ediyoruz.
Çocuğunuz ile beraber 7. Sınıf İngilizce II web sitesi tedankara7thgraders.pbworks.comve aynı web sitesinin arayıcılığı ile erişebilen online destek siteler “Achieve3000” ve “Brain Pop ESL” gezip inceleyebilirsiniz.
