Safe Harbors Privacy Statement

This Safe Harbors Privacy Statement applies to the data practices of Covaris, Inc.(referred to hereafter as "Covaris"). Covarishas developed this Safe Harbors Privacy Policy to explain how Covariscomplies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework.

The U.S.-E.U. Safe Harbor Framework the “U.S.-EU Safe Harbor”). was established in June 2000 by the United States Department of Commerce and the European Commission, as a method for legitimizing transfers ofPersonal Information from the European Economic Area (“EEA”) the United States. In addition, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) of Switzerland have agreed on a similar set of data protection principles to enable U.S. companies to satisfy requirements under Swiss data protection law related to the transfers of Personal Information transferred from Switzerland to the U.S. (the “U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor”). The Safe Harbor programsare voluntary self-certification processes for companies operating in the United States.Covarishas certified to the EU Safe Harbor and the Swiss Safe Harbor programs and has developed this Safe Harbor Privacy Statement to describe its commitment to both the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Principles and U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles (jointly referred to herein as the “Safe Harbor Principles”).

Scope:

This Safe Harbors Privacy Statement applies to all Personal Data received by Covarisin the United States from the EEA and Switzerlandin any format including, without limitation, Personal Data in electronic or paper-based forms.

Notice:

When Covaris collects Personal Data directly from individuals in theEEA and Switzerland, Covaris informs them about the purposes for which it collects and uses their Personal Data. Covaris informs such users about the purposes for which it collects and uses their Personal Data, the types of non-agent third parties, if any, to which Covaris discloses the Personal Data, and the choices and means, if any, that Covarisoffers individuals for limiting the use and disclosure of their Personal Data.
