Кремль и Тауэр – исторические символы государственности России и Великобритании

Научный руководитель проекта: Конюшкевич Елена Дмитриевна

The Kremlin and the Tower are the main

historical symbols of Russia and the UK

The most important historic events are reflected and preserved in the Moscow Kremlin which has become a symbol of the Russian State, one of the greatest architectural complexes in the world, a treasure trove of magnificent relics and works of art.

The ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin has been formed for many centuries. Today it includes the architectural monuments from XIV to XX centuries: the golden-domed cathedrals, old chambers, magnificent palaces and beautiful office blocks.

The Kremlin now is one of most famous tourist attractions in the world.

The similar symbol in Great Britain is the London Tower which reflects the history of Great Britain since William the Conqueror.

The main goal of my project work is to compare the Kremlin and the Tower following the steps of the history of our two countries and to show how important is to know the history and keep up national traditions and culture.

I have learned about and compared :

-  the history of foundation,

-  the role in different periods of the history

-  the main parts and their assignment

-  the traditions kept alive in the Kremlin and in the Tower

-  the current status

The general aim of my research is to show that these two prominent places have much in common. In the process of my research I referred to different linguistic, historical literature, dictionaries, reference books and the Internet. Carrying out my work I applied the following methods as analyses, comparison, classification.

My work consists of 5 parts. It is illustrated with photos. Introduction presents a literature survey. The next 4 parts of my project are devoted to the investigation of different aspects of the history and significance of the Kremlin and the Tower for our countries. The final part is the conclusion.
