Please read the complete instructions before you start your installation. These instructions are merely guidelines and are not meant to be all-inclusive as each installation may require different types of needs and modifications. The in dash modifications are necessary and will need to be performed so that the proper clearance for the Instrument cluster may be achieved. Each cluster assembly has been tested as a complete unit; all wiring to the gauges and lights have been pre-wired and tested.
NOTE: If you are unsure of your ability to perform this type of installation, seek out a qualified service facility to do this job.

· Remove the Factory Ford Instrument cluster and tuck the factory wire harnesses down inside the dash and out of the way.
· Cover the interior of the car with sheets etc. in preparation for the dash modifications
· Look at the pictures supplied and begin to mark out the areas of the inside of the dash that will need to be removed. (Magic markers, etc.).
· Using a Dremel tool or a Roto-Zip type of tool, remove the areas of the dash that are needed to properly fit the Full Panel housing in place.
· Hang the complete Instrument Cluster (Full Panel Housing and Faceplate with gauges) above the dash (see pictures).
· Begin to identify and probe all wires needed to connect the Florida 5.0 Cluster to the (2) Factory Ford harnesses (that connected to the original Instrument Cluster) and the 12-volt ignition wires of the Florida 5.0 Cluster that will run down to the fuse panel. This means reconnect the battery and protect all bare harness ends while testing and probing.
· Once all the wires are identified, the proper T-Taps can be installed just behind the factory harness connectors. At this point the Florida 5.0 harness wires can be connected to the T-Taps. (T-Taps are similar to 3M scotch loks in the way they make their connection. Make sure you use the proper t-tap, (Red 22-18 ga. wire, Yellow 10-12 ga. wire).
· Route all wires, lines and tubes to where they need to go and properly protect them from any moving parts or heat sources.
· Before lowering the Instrument Cluster into place, check that it is functioning correctly. Then install the protectors on to the Factory harness connectors.
· Install the Instrument Cluster and any other items that where removed for the installation. Note: Carefully position all of the wires, lines and tubes where they will not bend, pinch, rub, or hamper the installation of the Instrument Cluster. Two people will most likely be needed to do this. Pay close attention to protect the gauges and the Faceplate from scratches or dents.
· Enjoy your new cluster

Note: A In the factory harnesses, there is only 1 ground wire (pin # 13). We recommend making a ground lug under the dash (see picture labeled- ground lug), so you will have a place to run all grounds that you need. Not only for this cluster but also for any other devices that you have or will add.
· Above you will see a left and a right harness connector. Each connector is numbered 1-14. Not all numbered locations have wires that run to them. Each location that has wires will have a wire color code with the abbreviations of colors used by Ford. These wires will not all be used when making the connections for the new Instrument Cluster. Some of the connections will be run to the factory fuse panel and to the engine bay area for sender hook ups.
· From the Wire Identification and Color Codes table, you will see that each wire from our Instrument Cluster will have the corresponding harness location (RH or LH), wire color code and pin location of the harness for the correct connections. Some of the points on the factory harness can be probed with a 12-volt test light to verify the function of the particular wire. (Example: To test the function of the dash lights you can probe pin # 6 in the RH harness, which is LB/R (light blue/red). When you connect the test light to pin # 6 and turn on the dash lights the test light should be on and dim when you rotate the dimmer switch.
Special Notes
· All of the 12 –volt ignition connections should be made at the fuse panel and should use the fuse holders that come with the kit. Also read the Auto Meter instructions for all gauges as they specify exactly what should take place when making electrical and mechanical connections.
