Creative Dissemination Fund

General Guidelines

  1. The Creative Dissemination Fund provides encouragement and support to UWSP Faculty/Academic Staff in the dissemination of their work in media that would not be supported by the Publication Fund. All applications must include documented juried acceptance from appropriate professionals beyond the UW-Stevens Point campus. The maximum amount that can be awarded to one individual in any three year cycle is $3,000. In the event of royalties/sales, state statutes require the grantee to reimburse the UPDC for up to but not to exceed the total amount of the grant.
  1. A copy of each proposal will be kept on file in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for review.
  1. Only works that have been accepted by a juried board are eligible for funding.
  1. The following are examples of work that might be funded under the program:
  2. Costs related to exhibitions (ex. Crating and shipping costs)
  3. CD pressing
  4. Web-page development
  5. Creative writing
  1. Priority will be given to applicants whose projects have been supported by the UPDC.
  1. Normally, costs of dissemination will be supported by UPDC to the extent that funds are available, up to $3,000 over a three year period per individual.
  1. When UPDC supports a creative dissemination project that accrues royalties or sales, WI State Statutes requires that the applicant reimburses the UPDC for up to, but not to exceed the total amount of the grant. An appraised sample of the artwork equal to the amount of the award can be substituted.
  1. The University and the UPDC shall be acknowledged in the dissemination of the work.
  1. A representative photography, digital file or facsimile of the creative work should be provided to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
