Central Coast Sector Support and Development Officer (38 hrs a week)

We are currently seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced person who will be primarily responsible for building the capacity of Central Coast Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Community Care Support Program (CCSP) service providers in delivering their services based on best practice. This will include supporting the development of service providers through promotion of collaboration and partnerships and service support guidance.This position will be based in Gosford.
The role will involve travel throughout the Central Coast.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Community Care Support Programme (CCSP)
- Being able to visualise and promote best practice in the development of a strong, cohesive (holistic) community care system.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and current sector reforms
- Demonstrate the delivering of information, training and support to individuals and groups on both change management and implementation issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to network and develop working relationships that foster collaboration and partnerships with the sector
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent computer skills and be fluent in the Microsoft office suite
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Hold a current NSW drivers licence
- Knowledge of Central Coast community, organisations and service providers
- Knowledge of the not for profit sector
- Knowledge of Home Care Standards
- Previously worked for a community based organisation
- Knowledge of available resources and tools to support with sector development
- Community development experience and demonstrated evidence of being a ‘voice’ for community care providers.
Remuneration:
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS) with generous salary packaging opportunities based on past achievements and experience.
Salary details: SCHADS 5 NAPSA Grade 4 – Pool car supplied
