APPLICATION GUIDELINES
- The purpose of this scholarship is to support graduate students supervised by Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine faculty member to travel to conferences to present their research results, as the first author.
- Requests can be made for travel expenses to a maximum of $2,000.
- Applications will be evaluated by a selection committee consisting of four faculty members.
- The chief selection criteria are:
• Academic excellence of the applicant
• Appropriateness of the proposed travel budget
• Relevance to research
- Each laboratory/supervisor may not hold more than three Travel Scholarships per year.
- Preference will be given to first time applicants who are deemed as competitive as a previous awardee.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
All required information must be presented within the application form. Incomplete or over-sized applications will not be considered. The application form must be completed electronically and submitted by e-mail to Norma Stewart () by the appropriate competition deadline.
Prior to release of funds, winners of this award must forward all original receipts and boarding passes to Norma Stewart (2N16-HSC) along with an official letter, fax, or email from the conference organizer as proof of acceptance of the abstract.
