*Exodus Story explained– further info provided by lecturer:

What is the real meaning of the first part of Exodus? How is it possible that the Burning bush was engulfed by fire, but was not destroyed? Why did God send terrible plagues on the Egyptians? Did the Israelites really leave Egypt? Did the Red Sea part? Is there any evidence? The lecture explains the relationship between biblical literature and history writing.

*How do we explain the Pentateuch: first 5 books of the Bible– further info provided by lecturer:

Most of the texts found in the first five books of the Bible seem incomprehensible to modern readers. Some of those texts deal with ancient cult and feasts. Some contain ancient laws that are awkward and cruel. Why do we still read these books and in what way are they relevant to our modern culture? This lecture attempts to give an answer to these and other questions.
