Visitors Books

We regularly update Health and Safety precautions. Please ensure that you are familiar with the current safety rules in force at this facility.

General Visitors
  • Visitors use FORM 1.
  • Groups of Visitors use FORM 1A.
  • Take a copy of Essential Safety Rules for Visitors SHEET 1.
Drivers
  • Upon first visit, customers and hauliers use FORM 3.
  • Take a copy of Essential Safety Rules for Visitors SHEET 1.

Contractors

  • Contractors use FORM 1.
  • For contracts of more than several days, contractors may use FORM 2.

To save copies of Form I

  • Take a copy of Contractor’s Summary Sheet.

Definitions
Visitors

A visitor is a non-local member of staff, electricity, gas, or water official, HSE Inspector and any other person having legitimate cause to enter our premises.

Drivers

Any driverentering our premises to collect or deposit goods.

Contractors

Persons who conduct work activities at the site/office. In addition to signing in, there are procedures to be adhered to see Section E4.10, Company Procedures Manual

Essential Safety Rules for Visitors

1All visitors and contractors must report to the office and sign the visitor’s book.

2All persons must wear the necessary protective clothing, i.e. hardhat, safety boots, high visibility garment, safety spectacles, or any other article specified by the Responsible Manager.

3Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, all persons visiting the site are expected to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their activities whilst on site.

4In the case of visits including minors, it is important, that the accompanying Responsible Manager clearly informs them of the dangers involved and conduct required during the visit.

5You must report all accidents, however minor.

6Please obey all signs; they are for your safety.

7Please keep to designated walkways.

8Please observe No Smoking signs.

9Please report all fires, however small.

10If the fire alarm sounds, please leave by the nearest, signed exit.

These instructions are a guide to help ensure you have a safe visit and act as a reminder of your shared responsibilities for your own safe well-being.
