TOHF is challenging all energetic, self-motivated and results-oriented individuals to join our exciting, dynamic and donor-centered team!We are currently searching for an experienced individual to join our fundraising team as Coordinator, Philanthropy.

The Coordinator, Corporate Engagement & Business Development

Reporting to the Vice President, Development and Corporate Philanthropy, the Coordinator is accountable for effective and efficient coordination of administrative support for corporate philanthropy programs and the office of Vice President, Development and Corporate Philanthropy. As a front-line representative for the Foundation, the Coordinator is also accountable for building alliances with internal and external stakeholders and using media and public events tocreate a positive image of TOHF.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Vice President, Development and Corporate Philanthropy
  • Working closely with the Vice President, Development and Corporate Philanthropyto coordinate philanthropy programs (e.g.,the President's Breakfast for the Public Service)
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., donors, sponsors, volunteers) to assist the Vice President, Development and Corporate Philanthropy in implementing, coordinating and executing cultivation, stewardship and relationship management activities on an ongoing basis for new and existing donors

Desired qualifications:

  • Passionate belief in the work of The Ottawa Hospital and TOHF
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years progressive experience in the charitable sector inspiring philanthropy and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience coordinating projects from beginning to end with multiple stakeholders/suppliers
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with programs such as Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written skills
  • Superior planning and organizing skills, including the ability toeffectively plan and organize self and/or others to achieve goals, and prioritize tasksand allocate time and resources to ensure completion within set timelines and a fast-paced environment
  • Tact, diplomacy and maturity in dealing with stakeholders, including donors, volunteers and the general public
  • Sound, independent judgment
  • Team player with the ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times and a strong 'get-the-job-done' work ethic, expects highest quality performance from self and others
  • Must have access to a vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required
  • Bilingualism is a definite asset

Salary:
