State Research Report
FINAL ASSIGNMENT
Your weekly assignments have been turned in. Now it’s time to think about the FINAL assembly of your report and the due date. Please go through the following list as you start working on your final report. Your parents can help you organize.
Front Cover – DUE Thursday,March 17th
Try to use some bright colors or colored paper as you create your front and back covers. The front cover must include the name of your state and a blank outline map of your state that shows the capital, indicated with a star and labeled. You should decorate the map as you wish. Think about using decorative letters for your state, or use WORDART on the computer. Make your cover neat and interesting and colorful to tempt people to pick it up and see what’s inside- be sure to include pictures! The front cover must also include your name, your grade, and the year.
Table of Contents – Pages will be ordered and numbered at school
Once you have all of the pages ready and put in order (including the intro and the bibliography), you need to number the pages and then make a Table of Contents that shows the correct page numbers to find certain information about your state.
This will be page 1, the first page after the cover.
Assembly of Report
- Number the pages. Follow the order of the general outlineor thefinal assembly sheet.
- Make sure all of the information is in the order of the outline and be certain that you have all of the required graphics.
- Put the report together and make it look great! You can put it in a plastic report cover, a three-ring binder, or use book rings.
- Use the grading rubric I gave you as a checklist to see if you have done everything you can to earn a good grade.
The FINAL DUE DATE for your REPORT is Thurs, March 24th or Thurs, April 7th
