Questions?

© Stephoney L. Pack

I cry myself to sleep at night
Trying not to ask God why
I have false hope is what I've heard
Rather than that don't say a word
My faith is in God
That is where I stand
We gave her to him
She's now in his hands
How do I cope with what I am going through?
Let me ask you this, what else can I do?
I can only play the hand life deals
I just can't imagine how Angel feels
Should I give up and let her go?
As long as there's hope I say NO
Some people say It’s all meant to be
An innocent child, I don't agree
You can tell sometimes she really feels bad
But through out it all she's hardly ever sad
She has a great smile that lights up your day
For a moment or two my fears fade away
Do I wonder what life holds in store?
No..I just pray for another day more!

Poem 2

Faith Poem

I sat down to write something for two friends that were both experiencing some difficulties in their lives. I wanted to let them know that they were not alone with their problems, that I was, and would always be there for them. This is what flowed from my pen.

Gods Flight

© Heather Flood

On the ground sits a bird
that's too afraid to fly.
Beautiful wings could make it soar,
but the pain of past failure is it's lonesome cry.
God has said unto this bird,
"Trust and have faith in me,
for I will carry you in your flight.
The miracle of life is waiting for you to see."
The bird said to God, "But I can't fly.
I am weak. I will fall and feel pain
It's happened before when I tried to fly.
I'm afraid of being hurt again."
His voice soft and reassuring, God said to the bird,
I created you, and I will protect you.
Your lonesome cry I have heard.
Have faith in me. That's all you need to do.
So, stand up, bird, and spread your wings.
The wings I lovingly created to let you fly.
If you fall I'll pick you up,
and lift you back into the sky."
With trembling legs and unsure wings
the bird finally looked to the sky.
It took a deep breath, and took the chance.
The bird began to fly.
"Thank you, God, for believing in me.
Thank you for giving me wings.
Thank you for your protecting hands.
Your glory I will now sing."
God smiled unto the bird
in its majestic flight.
"Little bird, I'll always be with you,
and will protect you with all my might.
You may stumble. You may fall.
That doesn't mean that I don't care.
I will watch over you, in case you need help,
and then I'll be right there."

Poem 3

Sympathy Poem

This poem was inspired by the untimely death of a young family member. I wrote this poem for the parents of this child because it was the anniversary of his death and I was thinking of them and my emotions came out in these words. I hope this poem will bring some comfort for those who have lost a child.

A Child Never Forgotten

© Carolyn Autiello

our heart was broken
without a warning no words spoken
you were taken away
someone said you could not stay
empty and lonely is what we are
we lost a precious shining star
our family torn apart
your world began with a promising start
life is unfair
this difficult cross we must bear
strength and courage we will find
our special child always in our mind
a place in heaven is where you sit
looking at that star you lit
in our thoughts forever you will be
never knowing why someone set you free
