Personal meditation / God never leaves his servant alone. He is the ultimate provider and sends us angels to protect us or warn us. As he sent the angel to Daniel in the lion’s den to save him, God will ‘reproach the one who would swallow me up’. God is always there for me, and he is my comfort and strength. He comforted the apostles when they were reviled and persecuted.
As this is the season of the Advant, we must remember God’s greatest gift to us; He sent to us His son that we may be saved. He entrusted and angel to deliver this message, which means we must also trust in his angels.
Introduction / Ask kids about stories with angels
Try to push them to talk about Advent
Even in this materialistic age, we find ornaments of angels and angel figures everywhere
Christmas is based on the birth of Christ

-Which angel came to announce the birth of Christ
- Verse from the bible “an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20
§  Protecting- Keeping God's people out of physical danger, as in the cases of Danieland the lions, and his three friends in the fiery furnace(Daniel3and6).
-Who was Daniel
-What did the King ask of Daniel
-Were the people good people or bad people
-Who did the people worship
-Did Daniel worship the same god?
-What did the king do to Daniel?
-How was Daniel saved
-What happened after… Did the kind accept Daniel’s God as his own?
“Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel[b] and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!” Daniel 3:28

other angels in the bible: [just skin through it]
§  Revealing- They serve as messengers to communicate God's will to men. They helped reveal the law of Moses(Acts 7:52-53), and served as the carriers of much of the material in Daniel, and Revalation.
§  Providing- God has used angels to provide physical needs such as foodfor Hagar(Genesis 21:17-20), Elijah(1 Kings 19:6), and Christ after His temptation(Matthew 4:11).
§  Delivering- Getting God's people out of danger once they're in it. Angels released the apostlesfrom prisoninActs 5, and repeated the process for Peterin Acts 12.
§  Strengthening and encouraging- Angels strengthened Jesus after His temptation(Matt 4:11), encouraged the apostlesto keep preaching after releasing them from prison (Acts 5:19-20), and told Paulthat everyone on his shipwould survive the impending shipwreck (Acts 27:23-25).
§  Answering prayer- God often uses angels as His means of answering the prayersof His people (Daniel9:20-24;10:10-12;Acts 12:1-17).
Conclusion / God makes sure we are safe and always guards us in times of troubles, and hes also there in times of Joy. He sends us an angel around us to protect us and be with us.
