Range Master Commands & Duties

Shooters go to the firing line with UNLOADED, holstered firearm.

“Shooters load.”

Shooters load and may take a sight picture, then holster.

“Shooters ready?”

Ascertain shooters are ready - each shooter’s hands are above shoulders.

“Standby.”

**Sound horn.** to commence firing.

**Sound horn** again to signal cease fire and point to winner for

scorekeeper’s benefit.

Shooters clear firearms. Each Safety Observer verifies a clear/safe firearm

and AFTER firearm is holstered, raises hand high to signal clear/safe.

Upon seeing the clear/safe signal from both Safety Observers, declare

“Clear!”

Shooter picks up brass and Safety Observers reset the steel plate targets.
