Year 6– Home Learning Challenges Spring Term 2 – The Blue Planet
The children should complete a weekly English or Maths activity and a Topic activity as stated.
Reading, Spelling and Mental Maths should be practiced throughout the week.
Not all Home Learning will be formally marked however, there will be opportunities for sharing and celebrating.
All home learning is due on Friday.
ReadingRead aloud to others and discuss the text
Ensure your child is reading both independently and aloud
Practice asking and answering questions, referring to the text / Spelling / Mental Maths
Practice applying the four operations consistently (x + - ÷)

09/03/18 / Our World / Topic: Design a rainmaker using small pebbles or seeds and decorate using river theme.

Pretend that you are an explorer. You have just discovered the source of a new river? Write a letter home to your family about your discovery. Where is the source? What is the source – spring or lake? What will you name the river?
