PROMOTE GOOD CITIZENSHIP

Your child will learn best in a classroom where students listen to the teacher and respect others. To help your child become a good classroom citizen:

·  Play “I Talk, You Talk.” At home, take turns talking and waiting for the other person to finish.

·  Take turns. Let your child take turns with things he likes (playing with a favorite toy) and things he doesn’t (clearing the table).

·  Make cooperation a family affair. Set the timer for 15 minutes and have everyone quickly pick up clutter. Then celebrate with family read-aloud time.

PARENT REMINDER

Please be sure to call the Brookview office at 216-676-4334 first thing in the morning when your child will be absent or late for school. This is very important for the safety of our students. Our office is open at 8:00 a.m., but you may leave a voice mail message if you call before that time. Thank you for your assistance.

NUTRITION SERVICES

Application can be made at www.berea.k12.oh.us, in the middle under quick links scroll to Mealtime online, to My Mealtime (in purple); if you are a first time user you will need to set up a profile (under password). You will need your student’s five-digit I.D. number. If you need help contact Nutrition Service at 216-267-2142.

Please join PTA! Membership is only $7.00 per person/$12 family, and is open to parents, grandparents, step-parents, aunts, uncles, and anyone else with a desire to enrich the lives of our children.

PTA CATALOG FUNDRAISER ORDERS ARE

DUE THIS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH

This is just a reminder that the end of the PTA Catalog Fundraiser is quickly approaching. The deadline for turning in all orders is this coming Tuesday, September 20th. Please return your order form and payments (if you have them already) in the provided envelope or in any sealed envelope to your child’s teacher labeled “Catalog Fundraiser”. Please be sure your child’s name and teacher are on the envelope. If your child has sold 15 items, please include the T-Shirt form so we get the correct size T-Shirt for your child.

Payment is due on or before order Pick Up at Parent/ Teacher conferences on November 7th or 9th. We will accept cash or checks made payable to Brookview Elementary PTA. Extra order forms and catalogs are available in the school office.

This fundraiser is extremely important as this money supports so many of the activities and projects that PTA coordinates for your children each year. Our goal is to get 100% participation. Every dollar counts!

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Beth Porch at 216-780-6979 or Michele Duke at 216-410-3873.

Attention Parents

There is a procedure that needs to be followed by all parents who drop off and pick up their children on the Snow Road side of the building. Snow Road is designated the car rider side of the building. The procedures have been established for the safety of all children. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are to be picked up/dropped off in the area between the green and yellow Paper Retriever boxes and the main door of the building. Please stay in the car line. Preschool drop-off and pick-up is on the marginal road between the main front doors and the playground area. If you are a preschool parent and also have a kindergarten though fifth grade student to pick up, you need to drive to the end of the driveway and turn left onto Snow Rd. to enter the line of cars for those students.
