Outpatient Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy Services

The musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy department at Gilbert Hitchcock House is a well-established, high quality service offering a wide range of facilities to the community in Bedfordshire.
The physiotherapy staff offers a range of musculoskeletal clinical Skills including manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, acupuncture and other forms of pain relief for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions.
The department also provides a variety of specialist physiotherapy services ranging from:
· Women’s health
· Amputee rehabilitation
· Hydrotherapy
· Specialist back pain service
Our well equipped, modern gymnasium enables patients to exercise one-to-one with their physiotherapist, using both cardio-vascular and resistance machines as appropriate. We also offer Core Stability Classes, which are highly useful for patients with long-standing spinal conditions.
The clinic offers a Monday to Friday service:
· Monday and Friday 8-5pm
· Tuesday to Thurs 8-6pm
The department operates a partial booking system ensuring accessibility and choice for patients who attend appointments. The department is fully supported by reception and administrative staff during all opening hours.
There are also outreach clinics at Biggleswade, Flitwick and Bromham, ensuring less travelling time and more convenience for patients who live outside Bedford.
