  2. Vocational Assembly – Jim Boyer, DGE & Nikki Mederos, DGN – The date is Oct 5th at Pines Manor for $55. Rotary clubs of Park Ridge, Mid-Bergen,Maywood, Paramus, Ridgewood AM have submitted names for consideration with another on the way.
  3. Halloween Against Hunger – PDG Dan Shiver is hoping to prepare 70,000 meals on Oct 27th in Paterson and would like to see each club donate $150 to cover the costs at 25 cents per meal. 900,000 people in NJ rely on food banks

  10. Oct 25th membership seminar 6PM at Care Plus – goal is to have 90% retention of members and overall increase of 2%. Contact Bonnie and/or Ruddy’s for any information about membership you wish to have brought up at this meeting. Requirements for attendance has been reduces to 12 hours in a 6 month period and look for “young” members under 40 years are one of the topics to be discussed.

  15. WDH Plaque presentation – Emil Geering, PDG- presented to Mohammed Khalil from the Rotary Club of Paterson Great Falls for the outstanding service he provided for the President’s Ball.
  16. Gift of Life update – Jennifer Padolina & David Witlock discussed the possibility of doing another mission in Viet Nam this January and we have 8 children including 1 adult that are being consideredfor surgery in this country (Philippines and Nigeria). The one in the Philippines is an adult and having difficulty in obtaining a visa – anyone that has contacts please reach out to Jennifer. The 3 hospitals that are participating are: St. Josephs, Westchester and Valley – the lateris for adults only.
  17. Kenyan Girls Scholarship – Lois Horowitz – is raising money for the 2 girls to attend high school. Lois is very enthusiastic about this project and please assist – lois is looking for $150 per club and needs to complete her fund raising goal.

  1. Governor’s Address – Steve Jarahian very enthusiastic about the newly formed committee to increase membership this year. DG Steve is enjoying all his club visits and getting to know all fellow Rotarians.
