Position Charter:Lead HFI QA policies and procedures with focus on part testing and confirmation plans, customer specific requirements and gate reviews for assigned new program launches

Reporting Relationships:Reports to Corporate Quality Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·Drive improvement to HFI’s quality assurance results through leadership of quality policies and procedures with focus on:

oPast problem history

oNew model quality data collection and analysis

oCustomer specific requirements

oCore tools knowledge and application

oCheck fixture verification and validation

oNew model gate reviews

·Meet process effectiveness targets for assigned processes.

oLead investigations and determine actions when results do not meet expectations

oLead activities to achieve process improvement

oProvide leadership and training to facility quality and corporate engineering for quality function tools and reports

·Develop initial pre-launch quality procedures and process documents (control plan, QIS, etc) to meet quality objectives and customer requirements, as assigned

·Lead MSA procedures and activities for fixtures and gages

·Facilitate documentation and resolution of open issues impacting product quality for corporate event builds

·Lead initial check fixture verification process and support final facility approvals

·Lead new model gate review process; ensure countermeasure plans are documented for results not meeting expectations

·Meet personal target of >90% of assigned tasks in business management systems completed on time

·Define procedures/instructions needed to support successful implementation of processes and goals

·Define quarterly activities based on results of previous quarter metrics and goals

·Lead improvement activities to meet improvement target of one CI per quarter

·Process leadership as defined in HFI process map and roles & responsibility matrix

The Candidate:

Education:

·Four year Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associates degree with ASQ CQE Certification

Professional qualification or experience:

·>5 years quality experience in a decision making role; automotive/just-in-time manufacturing experience preferred

·GD&T working knowledge & ability to analyze part data (including CMM data reports)

·Certification as Quality Engineer desired (ASQ)

·TestExpert power user knowledge – ability to set up test programs (if responsible for any programs with glue or foam processes)

·Core tools knowledge: APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
