THE HENRY COUNTY MASTER GARDENER EXTENSION VOLUNTEERS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD 2017

DEADLINE TO TURN IN APPLICATION IS April 14, 2017

Description: This Scholarship is sponsored by the Henry County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers and is for the benefit of a graduating high school senior of any Henry County School (public, private or home school).

Qualifications; Applicants must: 1) be graduating seniors of a Henry County, Georgia high school (public, private or home school); 2) be current residents of Henry County, Georgia ; 3) plan on furthering their education in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agriculture, Landscape Design or Forestry.

Selection Criteria: Recipient will be chosen on merit (see application form). If needed, applicants will be notified of an interview time by April 21, 2017. The decision will be made on or before April 30, 2017.

Payment Amount; Scholarship amount: $1000 – A one time payment. Funds from this scholarship awardshall only be used fortuition, booksor required fees. This is a non renewable scholarship. Payment will be issued directly to the College or University in late July of 2017.

RELEASE

______I release to the Henry County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers Scholarship Committee (the "Committee"), the right to access my current and ongoing personal and academic records and transcripts.

______I understand my name, personal information and academic history will be released to the Committee. If awarded the scholarship, I give the Committee the right to arrange a meeting with the donors and the right to use my name, story and picture for printed and video materials, reports and press releases, without compensation. I will attend ceremonies and receptions related to the Scholarship as requested.

I grant my permission for my information to be released to the Committee and to Henry County Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Executive Board.
