POSITIONOVERVIEW

InternationalMinistries(IM)is seekinganenergetic,independentself-starterwhowillraise financialsupportfortheGeneralFund,missionprojectsandministrypriorities insupportof Christianglobalmission.Aspartofthedevelopmentteam,thisindividualcontributestostrategies, research,cultivationandstewardshipofadonorportfolio.Responsibilitiesincludegrowing, renewingandacquiringnewdonorswithapassionforsupportinginternationalmissionthrough IM’sglobalservants.Inadditionto growingindividualsupport,thedonoradvisorwillmanage relationshipswithcongregationsandchurch-relatedgroups.Thedonoradvisormustdemonstrate aChristiantestimonyandcross-culturalsensitivitytothediversityoftheAmericanBaptist denomination.Thedonoradvisormust demonstrate anabilitytosucceedinafaith-based environment,apassionforIMandanabilityto translatethatpassionintodeliverablesofIM’s fundraisinggoalswithahighdegreeofintegrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Effectivelyidentify,researchandqualifynewprospects forassignmenttothemajorgifts portfolio

•Buildandmanageaportfolioofapproximately150individualdonors

•Workwithasupervisor tocreateandexecuteacultivation andsolicitationplanforeachdonor andprospectintheportfolio

•Workwith theMissionAdvancement teamandAmericanBaptistFoundationtoencourageand growtheplannedgivingprogramtoachievelegacyprospectgoalsasdonorsmatureoutof majorgifts

•Developandexecutestewardshipeventsandotherengagementopportunitiesfordonorsand prospectsintheportfolio

•TrackportfolioactivityandprogressintheSalesforcedatabase

•Createreports thatreflectportfolioactivityandperformanceaswellasdeliveryofgiftincome againstbudgetedgoals

•ProvidesupporttotheCEOinpreparationforsolicitations,includingdevelopingappropriate briefingmaterialsinadvanceofmeetings

•Manage100+meaningfulcontactseachmonth viaphone,email,lettersandnotesto resultina minimumof8scheduledvisitspermonth

•Maintain workingknowledgeofstrategicprioritiesandglobalservantupdatesandjournals

•Providepersonalassistanceinresolvingdonorquestions

QUALIFICATIONSANDEXPERIENCE

•Bachelor'sdegreerequired;Master’sorhigherpreferred

•CFREcertificationaplus

•5+yearsofexperienceindevelopment,withatleasttwoyearsinmajorgifts

•Priorplannedgivingexperienceorequivalenttraininginlegacygivinginstruments

•TechnologycompetencyinSalesforce,Raiser'sEdgeorotherCRM systemstorunreportsand trackportfolioperformanceinavirtualdigitalenvironment

•Proficiencywith MicrosoftOfficetechnologyandinformationsystems(including Word,Excel, OutlookandPowerPoint) anddonordatabases

•KnowledgeofandappreciationforAmericanBaptistis preferredinordertofoster relationships;membershipinanABCchurchisdesired
