Council Meeting - October 11, 2016
1. Mayor Mike Steinhardt called the council meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Roll call. Members present: Jeremy Fromm, John Korb, Guy Grube, Bill Krueger, Alice Achter.
Members absent: John Brocker.
Others present: Mike Mathes, Steven Duplechain.
4. Krueger moved Achter seconded to approve the minutes of the September 27, 2016 council meeting. Motion Carried.
5. Fromm moved Korb seconded to approve a Certified Survey Map for all of Lot 3 of 29 CSM 265 and being part of the N ½ of the NW ¼ of Section 29, Town 17 North Range 21 East, in the City of Kiel, Manitowoc County. Roll Call Vote. Fromm, Korb, Grube, Krueger, Achter – 5 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion Carried.
6. Fromm moved Krueger seconded to set a public hearing in the Council Chambers on November 8th, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. to consider a request to change Ordinance 7.04(9) no parking area by Zielanis School as requested by the Kiel Area School District. Motion Carried.
7. Grube moved Korb seconded to approve the extraterritorial certified survey map for a new parcel on the corner of Highway 67 and Kiel Fish and Game Road. Motion Carried.
8. Grube moved Krueger seconded to give permission to close Fremont Street from 7th Street to 1st Street on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 from 6:15 till 7:15 P.M. for the Kiel Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. Motion Carried.
9. Krueger moved Grube seconded to authorize the City Administrator to obtain bids for snow plowing and hauling for the 2016/2017 season. Motion Carried.
10. Fromm moved Korb seconded to accept a $125 donation for the historical pictures in City Hall from the Pethan children. Motion Carried.
11. Grube moved Achter seconded to approve operator’s licenses for Cassandra Gehl and Alyson Lulloff. Motion Carried.
12. Fromm moved Grube seconded to approve the receipts and disbursements. Motion Carried.
13. Grube moved Krueger seconded to pay all approved bills. Roll Call Vote. Fromm, Korb, Grube, Krueger, Achter – 5 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion Carried.
14. Krueger moved Fromm seconded to adjourn the council meeting at 6:25 P.M. Motion Carried.
