It’s Claudia March’s 80th birthday. Her grandchildren want to buy a present for her. Decide what would be the best present to buy. Explain why you think some things are better than others. Here is a picture with some ideas to help you.

(The interlocutor will repeat the instructions.)

Part 3 (3 minutes)

Interlocutor: Now, I’d like each of you to talk on your own about something. I’m going to give each of you
a photograph of people doing leisure activities.

Candidate A, here is your photograph. Please show it to Candidate B, but I’d like you to talk about it.

Candidate B, you just listen. I’ll give you your photograph in a moment.

Now, Candidate B, here is your photograph. Please show it to Candidate A and tell us what you can see
in the photograph.

Part 4 (3 minutes)

Interlocutor: Your photographs show people doing leisure activities on their own and in a group. Now I’d like you to talk together about the leisure activities you like to do and whether you think it is more relaxing to do things on your own or in a group and why.
