Outline: As a member of the Adult Support core team, has specific responsibility for the development and coordination of the County website to ensure that Team Merseyside and our members are informed, inspired and engaged.
Responsible for:Maintaining and developing the County website, creating engaging content and ensuring it is kept up to date.
Responsible to:Digital Communications and Media Manager
Main Contacts:Adult Support Team, CC, County Core team, District Commissioners, Media Team at HQ regional Communications and Media teams
Appointment Requirements: To understand and accept the Scout Association’s policies, have a satisfactory CRB clearance, be aware of DP regulations, Have a keen interest in the development of Digital Communications together with a clear understanding of communication strategy and execution.
Key Accountabilities- Develop and maintain a twelve-month website communications calendar/ plan with the support of the Digital Communications and Media Manager.
- Publish digital content using the website content management system (CMS), and ensure regular updates are carried out on the County website.
- Liaise with districts and members of TeamMerseyside to ensure contributionsare made regularly and accurately from nominated agreed sources.
- Working alongside the Digital Communication and Media Manager and Social Media Coordinator to create content and imagerylinked to specific campaigns or activities.
- Ensuring web pages are picked up by search engines (search engine optimisation) and reporting on website performance using web measurement tools like Google Analytics.
- Be aware of and value the Scout brand and how it is implemented here on Merseyside
- Review the structure and content of the county website to ensure it meets the communications objectives of team Merseyside.
- Maintain close liaison with the Website Developer to ensure issues are resolved quickly and developments are made to the County website as required.
