The following motions were made seconded and approved:*
The meeting was called to order by President, Diane Gugenhan and roll call conducted.
*To approve the agenda as presented.
*To approve the consent agenda as presented. The consent agenda included minutes of the March 14, 2016 regular board and Gifts/Donations for the Barnes Preschool Playground for $200.
Linn FCCLA national qualifiers Hannah Bott, Maggie Bott and Kaitlin Ohlde presented their Illustrated Talk on Memory in Music.
Mark Oelschlager reported on the maintenance, transportation and food service for the district.
Mike Savage reported on activities at the Linn School.
Doug Wilson reported on activities at the Hanover School.
The board reviewed the current policy for supporting FFA, FBLA, and FCCLA state and national competitions. It was the consensus of the board to not amend the current policy.
Under old business the board discussed the state basketball travel and dismissal policy
*To approve the presented state basketball travel and dismissal policy with the amended mileage of 200. The official policy is attached to the minutes.
Under new business Mr. Cordel gave a financial update including House Bill 2655 which will reshuffle school funds to increase the equity portion of the school finance. The board also reviewed projected capital outlay balances.
*To hold Executive Session for Non-Elected Personnel.
*To approve the resignation from Laura Walters as Hanover Music Teacher.
*To approve Susan Schotte as Hanover Junior High Assistant Track Coach and Brett Peters as Linn High School Assistant Track Coach.
*To approve the following 2016-17 licensed and classified staff contracts:
