REORGANIZATION:
Nomination was made by Louis Tate to appoint James Marsh as President; no other nominations were made. Nominations closed. Roll Call Vote – 4-0. Nomination carried.
Nomination was made by Joe Krolick to appoint Louis Tate as Vice-President; no other nominations were made. Nominations closed. Roll Call Vote – 4-0. Nomination carried.
Motion was made byJoe Krolick and seconded by Louis Tate to appoint Wayne Kablak as Solicitor and Gibson Thomas as Engineer. Roll Call Vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Joe Krolick and seconded by Louis Tate to appoint Kotzan & Associates as Auditor. Roll Call Vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Joe Krolick and seconded by Louis Tate to appoint Jason Kline to a five year term to the Municipal Authority Board. Roll Call Vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: Motion was made by Louis Tate and seconded by Joe Krolick to approve the agenda. Roll call vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion was made by Louis Tate and seconded by Joe Krolick to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Roll call vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE FUND BALANCE REPORT: Motion was made by Joe Krolick and seconded by Louis Tate to approve the Fund Balance Report. Roll call vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
PRESENTATION OF BILLS: Motion was made by Joe Krolick and seconded by Louis Tate to authorize payment of bills for January 2015. Roll Call Vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: None
MAYOR’S & POLICE REPORTS:
Mayor Clawson presented his monthly report of revenues on Parking Meters and Fines.
The police report was presented by Chief Joe Douglas.
Motion was made by Joe Krolick and seconded by Louis Tate to accept the Mayors and Police Reports for the month. The aye vote on the motion was unanimous. Motion carried.
MANAGERS REPORT: Rob Barto – Manager
Nothing to report.
OLD BUSINESS:
Fixing the Meter Heads in front of the Dollar Store: Joe Douglas said he looked at them and would try to get the fixed this week. Water is getting in them and they are freezing and forcing the meter head up out of the pipe.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
FINANCE COMMITTEE: John Buterbaugh – Chairman
John Buterbaugh was absent so Louis Tate asked for a motion for the committee to authorize a $30,000.00 Tax Anticipation Note (if needed). Motion was made by Louis Tate and seconded by Joe Krolick to take out a $30,000.00 tax anticipation loan if needed. Roll Call Vote – 5-0. Motion carried.
MUNICIPAL COMMITTEE: Stephanie Brilhart – Chairwoman
Motion was made by Stephanie Brilhart and seconded by Louis Tate to adopt Resolution 2016-1 appointing Anita Johnston as Assistant Borough Secretary/Treasurer. The aye vote on the motion was unanimous. Motion carried.
POLICE COMMITTEE: None
PROPERTY COMMITTEE: Joseph Krolick – Chairman
Joe to take care of fixing the meter heads.
PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE: John Hughmanic – Chairman
Fence along the playground on Sherman Street needs to be secured.
STREET COMMITTEE: Louis Tate – Chairman
The plow truck has been out and everything is ready for the winter.
