Since 2006, Laura Dix has served as the Faculty Advisor of the AMA Ferris collegiate chapter , which recently was awarded Silver Chapter of the Year. Serving on the AMA Collegiate Chapters Council for the past three years, Laura has been Conference Co-Chair of the popular AMA International Collegiate Conference for the past two years- both of which she will continue in 2015-2016.

She has extensive work experience with General Motors Corporation and has worked in various management positions in Saginaw, MI, Flint, MI, and Fort Wayne, IN. Classes taught at Ferris include Principles of Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Marketing, Product Marketing, International Marketing, and Marketing Research. Research interests include Marketing History and New Product Development. She has published articles in the Journal of Macromarketing and many conference proceedings. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and AMA-West Michigan, and the Association for Historical Research in Marketing.
